Orange Vélodrome: the match-night ride

The stadium is on Boulevard Michelet, about 6 km from the station. On OM match or concert nights, the streets around Rond-Point du Prado are closed or jammed one to two hours before the gates open. The driver drops you at the closest accessible point to your stand: Ganay, Jean-Bouin, Chevalier-Roze or Depé.

Outside events the drive along the Prado takes about ten minutes. Many fans arrive by train and leave late at night for a hotel, so book the return too.

Where do I meet the driver after the match?

A meeting point away from the crowds is sent by text, usually in a street parallel to Boulevard Michelet.

From the TGV to the stadium in fifteen minutes

Many supporters arrive on the TGV from Paris or Lyon on match afternoon. From Saint-Charles, the driver heads down towards the Prado via Boulevard Baille or the tunnels, depending on the day’s closures. On match days the police close Boulevard Michelet in sections, so your driver stops where it is still allowed, usually on the Sainte-Marguerite side or the Rond-Point du Prado side depending on your stand.

If your train home leaves the same evening, allow plenty of time: after the final whistle, getting out of the area often takes longer than the journey itself. Book a pick-up 30 to 45 minutes after the end at a point agreed by text to catch the last TGV to Paris.

Supporter groups

A trip with friends from another city often means eight people and one meeting point off the train. The 8-seat Van avoids splitting up in the metro on a busy day; the driver waits away from the crowd and brings you back to the station or hotel. Scarves and flags travel in the boot, flares never.

Visiting the stadium

Guided tours of the Orange Vélodrome, including the OM museum, a stand and the dressing rooms, and the club shop are open on non-match days: an easy stop between the station and your hotel, with your bags in the boot if you book a driver by the hour.
