Pick-up
Name sign in arrivals, flight tracked. How the airport pick-up works.
The route
The airport is in Marignane, on the Étang de Berre. The route reaches Marseille by the A7 or the A55 motorway depending on traffic, then crosses the city centre to the Old Port.
Arriving at the Old Port (Vieux-Port)
As close as possible to your hotel
Part of the Old Port quays is pedestrian: your driver drops you at your hotel when the street is open to cars, otherwise at the nearest authorised point.
Le Panier and La Canebière
The streets of Le Panier are narrow and steep: give the exact address and your driver chooses the best drop-off point.
Rush hour
Traffic into Marseille is heavy in the morning and late afternoon. The price does not change: it is fixed when you book.
Old Port: everything within walking distance
The Old Port is Marseille’s historic heart: Quai des Belges and its mirrored canopy, the Panier district, the Mucem and Fort Saint-Jean. There are many hotels around the harbour, but the quays are partly pedestrian, so the driver stops at the closest point to your entrance.
The route follows the A7 and enters the city through the tunnels or Boulevard de Paris. At rush hour the city entrance can double the journey time, but the price stays the same.
What is the most convenient drop-off point?
It depends on your hotel. Quai de Rive-Neuve, Quai du Port and Rue de la République are easy to access.
Staying around the Old Port
Hotels around the harbour range from small boutique addresses in Le Panier to large establishments on the quays with balconies over the boats. Several streets nearby are pedestrian or have restricted access in the evening, so the driver stops at the closest authorised point and helps with your cases. From the terminal the motorway enters the city through the northern districts and the Joliette tunnels, which avoid the busiest crossroads.
Should you take a taxi or book a driver to Old Port?
Over roughly 27 km, a taxi and a private driver both take you door to door. A taxi charges the regulated fare on the meter. Our private transfer has a fixed price from €43, day or night, with no surprise on arrival.
You are met in arrivals with a name sign; the flight is tracked live, so there is nothing to look for when you come out.
